The Crane Fly is a story I’ve carried with me for a very long time. I’ve made previous attempts at writing it, but I was never completely happy with how it turned out. This time, I’m determined to see it through to completion.
Set on the rain-soaked Oregon Coast, the story follows Ansel, a night security guard who spends his sleepless days pursuing a fish that once escaped his line. Haunted by guilt, he finds an unexpected connection with a mysterious young woman named Malice. As his exhaustion deepens and strange coincidences accumulate, he begins to question how much he can trust his own perceptions.
This story will be a little more grounded and introspective than my previous work, but every bit as strange and disturbing as anyone familiar with my books would expect.
