Iko and the Golden Dragon

The year is 1999.

The earth is turning to dust. Crops fail. Rivers dry. Borders collapse. The few stable governments that remain rule by brutality and fear.

Iko Nakamura is someone who has already given up. She does not chase meaning, does not believe in causes, and does not imagine that her choices matter beyond the next day. If anything, she sees herself as just another person passing through a world that is already falling apart.

Iko is not trying to save the world.

When she finds a mysterious sword tied to the legend of the Golden Dragon, everything begins to shift.

The dragon is said to be able to restore equilibrium to the world. The cost is measured in billions of lives.

Hunted by a shadowy paramilitary group devoted to its awakening, Iko is drawn deeper into something she does not understand… and may not be able to stop.

Because the closer she gets to the truth, the more it begins to feel like there was never a choice at all.
